Why this matters
Seafood trades under a lot of local names, and the same fish can be called something different in every country. The Latin name is the one label everyone agrees on. If you source seafood across borders, it takes the guesswork out of what you are actually buying. It also sets up a synonym framework we can reuse to sharpen search for other products across the platform.
