Undercurrent partnership
The headline is our partnership with Undercurrent, a specialist seafood data provider. The first batch brought over 2,000 price series across 15 product groups. A second batch added 748 series (673 of them new products), covering the Japanese Toyosu and French Rungis wholesale markets and a new Seaweed product group. Toyosu and Rungis are two of the most important seafood benchmarks in the world. The integration now stands at more than 2,700 series.
Undercurrent runs on a Bring Your Own License basis. You need an active Undercurrent subscription, and your Customer Success Manager activates it inside Vesper.
New Colombian coverage from DANE
In June we added Colombian fish and seafood coverage from DANE, the country’s national statistics office. This came as part of a wider multi-commodity DANE add.
Why this matters
Seafood is one of the most fragmented and volatile markets in food. Prices move by species, origin, catch method, and season, so a trustworthy benchmark is hard to find. With this depth, you can check a supplier quote, compare prices across origins, and track trends for fish and seafood in the same workflow you already use for every other commodity.
