Week 9
While many had hoped that the Russians would hold off from military actions, a week full of violence and fights on Ukrainian grounds has already passed with all the consequences it entailed. Life in Ukraine has currently come to a halt, without a clear indication of when things will get back to normal. The effects of the ongoing tension on the global economy are already being felt, as oil and gas prices have increased sharply and both stocks and some currencies have rapidly lost some of their value. For the global whey market, the production costs have been increasing and are expected to increase further as we move forward. Especially for energy intensive products such as whey and milk in general, production prices are only looking to increase further.
