July milk production was down 0.5% in the EU, and up 0.4% from the previous month, according to the European Commission’s Milk Market Observatory. Of the main producing countries, Polish milk production was up 5.8% in July, Belgium up 4.2%, Netherlands up 3.5%, and Ireland up 1.0%. Production was still down from last year in France (-0.2%), Germany (-0.6%), Italy (-0.8%) and, with the biggest drop, Spain (-6.5%).
