What we are looking for
As a Business Development Manager for our Marketplace, you’ll help attract clients, onboard them seamlessly, and provide the market insights they need to make confident decisions and execute trades. You will build and maintain relationships with producers, buyers and traders by providing value and in-depth content. To do so, you collaborate with our Customer Success and Data Research team.
What you will do
Accelerate commercial growth of the marketplace
- Strategize on the expansion towards new products and geographical markets
- Target new potential customers and reach out to them
Ensure an optimal customer experience for our customers:
- Onboarding: close potential marketplace participants as customers and provide a smooth onboarding experience such that customers are ready to start trading
- Engagement: Communicate and engage with current customer base through product marketing activities and keeping them up to date on the latest market developments
- Support: Provide support to resolve any issues occurring when interacting with the marketplace
- Discovery: identify and execute on approaches to increase liquidity on the platform
- Activation: use strategies to encourage participants to add supply and demand to the marketplace
Enhance customer engagement and drive product discovery
- Collaboration: facilitate and participate in the customer and product discovery process
- Product improvement: identify improvement opportunities for marketplace development, whilst providing a clear link to commercial value
Who you are
- 1-3 years of experience in a commercial role: sales, business development, brokerage, or consulting.
- Willingness to embrace challenges and make an impact.
- Networking: strong interest and experience in building and maintaining networks of (market) parties that are important to the organization
- Customer orientation: ability to take personal responsibility and be proactive in commercial endeavors.
- Interpersonal and communication skills: explains things understandably and step by step
- Planning and organisation: attention to detail and ability to come up with an action plan
- Initiative: ability to anticipate opportunities and take actions to create new ones
- Creativity: ability to combine existing solutions or ideas into a solution that is unique
- Attention to detail and accuracy
