What we expect from this role
As a Digital Designer at Vesper, you will play a crucial role in shaping our digital presence and ensuring our brand remains consistent and engaging across all channels. We are looking for a designer for 32 hours per week who will work 50% for the product development team working on UX/UI together with our lead designer. The remaining 50% of your workload will be allocated towards the marketing team, where you’ll develop digital marketing assets and ensure brand consistency.

What you will be doing for Product
- App and Web Design: Collaborate with the app and web development team to design and optimize user-friendly app and website interfaces, landing pages, and user experiences across all supporting platforms.
- User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design: Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that provide an exceptional digital experience for our customers.
- Wireframing/prototyping: Brings design concepts, product ideas and user stories to life through creation of low/high-fidelity prototypes, mock-ups or wireframes.
- Responsive Design: Create designs that are responsive and adaptable to various devices and screen sizes (desktop, mobile, tablet).
What you will be doing for Marketing
- Digital artwork production: create eye-catching creative tailored for various digital marketing campaigns to promote our products/services effectively (online advertising, social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms).
- Web design: develop website pages with a mobile-first approach, emphasising responsive design. Create UX/UI flows, wireframes, and prototypes to optimise the website’s user experience.
- Video and animation: produce videos and simple animations to increase digital engagement and captivate our audience.
General
- Brand consistency: ensure brand consistency across all design materials, adhering to brand guidelines and evolving them as needed.
- Writing: Creates microcopy that improves the navigability and overall experience of the platforms.
- Collaboration: collaborate across departments, working closely with marketing, development, and product teams to align design efforts with overall marketing and business strategies.
- Template maintenance: maintain and improve design templates to streamline content creation processes and maintain a cohesive visual identity.
- Design software mastery: utilize industry-standard software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to create and edit designs with precision and creativity.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years experience in Digital Design or a similar role, preferably in a digital marketing or creative agency setting.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your diverse design skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc), Figma, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with mobile-first web design principles and UX/UI best practices.
- Strong understanding of web design principles and responsive design.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with video editing and animation tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design trends.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
